Year 6 - Computing Club - Micro:Bits
In computing club we are now experimenting with Micro:Bits.
We are using #makecode to program them.
This week everyone progressed really well and made either a dice or rock, paper, scissors game.

In science this week, we investigated reflections.
Children used mirrors to describe how objects reflect, and how we see our own reflections.

Year 6 (Class 14) - Art - Art at Home Work
A member of class 14 enjoyed taking home class 14’s Art at Home folder and produced some two pieces of excellent art work.

Year 6 (Class 15) - R.E - David and Goliath
Class 15 enjoyed learning about David and Goliath and creating their own psalm words.
Mr Needham was very impressed with what children created and performed!

Year 6 (Class 16) - PSHE - MindMate Lesson
Children in class 16 enjoyed recognising people’s strengths - they spent time giving their classmates compliments and discussed how this made people feel.
Children were then set the task of giving people compliments outside of the classroom.

Year 6 (Class 16) - PSHE - Healthy Minds
Class 16 completed their post topic assessment identifying how a person might receive support if the person is experiencing mental health problems.
Children then compared what they had written when completing the task at the start of the topic - their pre topic assessment.

Year 6 (Class 15) - R.E - Islamic Civilisation
The children have been finding out about the Islamic Civilisation.
Some of children brought in artefacts from home and were very proud to share their culture and home language with the rest of our class.
We were all super impressed.

The children in class 15 found the workshop really interesting and enjoyed learning techniques on how to deal with their emotions on a daily basis.

Class 15 enjoyed listening to our visitor on Number Day.
He explained how he uses maths in his job and why it’s important to listen in school.
