Year 5 (Class 12) - Music - Samba Drum Workshop
Class 12 have been learning about Samba music, having lots of loud fun playing several traditional instruments, such as the surdo; tamborim; agogo; ganza, as well as learning about the history of the genre.

Class 13 had a lovely workshop with Dave the Samba man.
They started by working together, creating a rhythm and then adding words, leading to playing instruments and creating carnival music.
They all really enjoyed it and performed brilliantly.

Year 3 (Class 8) - Music - Bamboo Instruments
Today we were lucky enough to have a visitor who taught us to play bamboo Tamboo instruments.
We played all sorts or rhythms to each other. We copied some rhythms and then created our own for others to copy.

Class 5 really enjoyed today's Brass Band workshop.
They learned lots about some of the different musical instruments and worked to adapt a song to make it their own.

Class 16 have learnt to play along to the song La Bamba using their recorders.
They have done a brilliant job, well done class 16.
Year 4 (Class 11) - Computing / Music - Garage Band Multi Track Composition
Today was our final lesson using garage band.
We used what we had learnt over the last few weeks to create a ‘multi-track composition’.
We then shared our tracks with each other to enjoy and assess.

Class 10 are really enjoying using Garage Band in Computing to create, edit and record their own beats!

Year 4 (Class 10 & Class 11) - Music - Rap Battle
Class 10 and Class 11 held a rap battle in Music to practice our new song - 'Stop'. It was too hard to choose a winner so we called it a draw!

Class 5 really enjoyed their music lesson this week where they have been learning the song 'Rainbows'.
The children looked at the different sections of the song such as verse and chorus and how the chorus usually repeats throughout the song.

Today we began our new computing topic in which we will be composing music on Garage band.
We started by exploring the app and the features and we will eventually compose a piece to perform by the end of the topic.
