Year 6 - Computing Club - Lego Mindstorm Robots
It was our first week in computing club, we are using the Lego Mindstorm kits to build a robot.
Once they have been built, we can use Lego software to make them move and speak!

Year 6 (Class 15) - Art - Jaqueline Hurley
Class 15 have been looking at the work of our artist of the term Jaqueline Hurley.
Her art focuses on war time landscapes with lots of texture and depth.
The children loved her work and now feel inspired to create their own piece of art in her style.

Year 6 (Class 16) - PSHE - Alcohol & Drugs
In PSHE, we have continued our topic on alcohol and drugs.
This week, the children came up with their own drug related scenario and came up with ideas on how they would lower the risk of the situation.
They then acted these out to the class.

This week, class 16 have been making their own versions of the circulatory system.
They had to follow instructions working in teams to make the diagram.

Today class class 14 were lucky enough to meet the author Tom Palmer!

This week in RE class 14 have been exploring the 5 k’s of Sikhism.
They looked at real artefacts and researched using books to discover what each one was named.

This week in science as part of our circulatory system topic class 14 have dissected hearts.
The children have absolutely loved investigating the different chambers, valves and vessels in the hearts with real life specimens!

Today class 16 have learnt about perspective in landscapes and how to achieve them.
They enjoyed working together first then independently to create their own landscape ready for our war time landscape in the coming weeks.
