Year 4

Today we designed our own recording system to observe the weather over the next few weeks.

We discussed the data we might like to record and how often we would do it.

We then created our own charts.

Today we discussed perseverance and identified things that we are persevering with.

We wrote down things we can tell ourselves to keep us on track.

Today was our final lesson using garage band. 

We used what we had learnt over the last few weeks to create a ‘multi-track composition’. 

We then shared our tracks with each other to enjoy and assess. 

We have had so much fun!

The children loved their time at Clip n Climb. 

They grew in confidence over the 2 weeks and lots of the children reached the top of the walls.

We couldn’t believe we were drinking the same water as the dinosaurs!

Today we continued our unit exploring garage band. 

We experimented with live loops and learned how add, edit and extend loops. 

We also learned how to add our own loops by adding instruments and making our own melodies. 

Class 10 are really enjoying using Garage Band in Computing to create, edit and record their own beats!

Class 10 have worked in groups in RE. 

We have explored four different stories about Guru Nanak, then wrote questions that we would like answers to after reading them. 

Each group added their own questions. We will aim to answer these questions through our learning this half…

Today we made ice decorations for our garden.

We gathered things that had fallen from the trees like leaves and twigs and berries and a few stones and we made them into decorations.

Today we did practical work on sharing 2digit numbers by one digit numbers.

We looked at numbers that shared exactly and then numbers with remainders. We also looked at sharing numbers when an exchange is needed.

To begin our division unit, Class 10 worked together to practically solve 2-digit divided by 1-digit calculations.

Class 10 have started gymnastics in PE this week.
