This week in PSHE class 14 have being learning about homelessness. They then reflected on essential, important and unimportant things they have in their homes.
They then used these points to orally tell their peers using the traverse Oracy strategy.

This week, class 16 researched different mountains.
Each group had a mountain, that they researched and presented to the class.
They used their oracy skills to present this on presentation cards, and then feedback to each group.

Year 6 (Class 14) - Design Technology - Running Stitch
This week in DT class 14 have developed their sewing skills by using the running stitch, back stitch and blanket stitch to create coasters.

Year 6 - History - A Visit from Judith
The children of year 5 and 6 were treated to a visit from Judith. She is the daughter of a lady who was rescued from Germany on the Kinder-transport in 1938.

Year 6 - P.E - Primary Stars Football Tournament
We are very proud of our efforts in the Primary League Primary Stars football tournament.

Year 6 (Class 14) - English - Relative Clauses
Class 14 worked in table groups to form expanded sentences using relative clauses, coordinating and subordinating conjunctions.

Year 6 (Class 16) - R.E - Yom Kippur
Class 16 have learnt about the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur.
They made a fact file showing the key points of the festival.
The children recognised, whilst they may follow a different religion, there are similarities between themselves and what the Jewish faith believe.

Year 6 (Class 14) - Maths - Common Denominators
Children in class 14 enjoyed the challenge of finding common denominators in order to complete subtraction sums involving fractions.
