Year 6 (Class 17) - Design Technology - Bridges
Class 17 have stared their new topic on bridges.
Today we looked at the forces at play when building bridges and felt what compression and tension feel like.

Class 4 learned about the sculpture Francois Pompon. We looked at the different sculptures that he created.
The children enjoyed recreating his polar bear sculpture.

Class 4 have enjoyed reading the book 'The Kindest Red', we have talked about what kindness means and the different ways we can make a kind world.
We worked together to write a class poem about kindness.

Class 17 have had fun learning morse code with torches this week.
We sent messages to each other and answered questions in morse code.

Class 16 have started their DT topic on bridges this week, we drew and categorised bridges, looked at 4 different bridge types then tested the different forces that bridges use (tension and compression).

In RE, we have been learning about the 10 commandments.
We explored what each one meant then thought about the importance of each one.

Year 5 (Class 13) - Geography - Gambia
Class 13 have enjoyed investigating why a young boy might have to move and work away from his family in The Gambia region of Africa.
They then came up with their top 5 reasons as a group.

Year 4 (Class 12) - Science - Dental Mirrors
Year 4 used dental mirrors to look at the different teeth in our mouths.
We learned their names and identified them in our mouths.
