History plays a vital role in our curriculum, helping pupils to understand the world around them and their place within it.
Through engaging topics, children explore significant events, people and periods of time, developing a sense of chronology and an appreciation of how the past has shaped modern society. Our history teaching encourages curiosity, critical thinking and the ability to question and interpret evidence.
By making links across subjects and bringing learning to life, we aim to inspire a lasting interest in history while supporting pupils’ wider understanding of culture, diversity and change over time.
