Year 5

This week in English Class 12 are studying Balanced arguments. 

In groups they came up with for and against points. 

They then added conjunctions to build on and challenge the points. 

This was done orally and written. 

What a fantastic experience.

The children had a stadium tour and the opportunity to play two new sports.

Class 12 loved their time at LSten.

They has a session on the skateboards and the scooters.

 Well done to the tag rugby team.

They won 3 out of the five matches.

There were some fantastic tries scores and they worked together well as a team.

Class 14 have made bridges using art straws.

Class 12 have been learning about Samba music, having lots of loud fun playing several traditional instruments, such as the surdo; tamborim; agogo; ganza, as well as learning about the history of the genre.

Class 13 had a lovely workshop with Dave the Samba man. 

They started by working together, creating a rhythm and then adding words, leading to playing instruments and creating carnival music.
