Class 15 enjoyed measuring and comparing the mass and weight of different items in class for science.

We have been investigating cams and seeing how they can move axels in different ways.

Hopefully, we will be able to use this different movement when we design and build our own moving toys.

Well done class 14. 

Class 15 enjoyed researching the Three Gorges Dam and then debating the negative and positive effects it has on Earth.

Class 15 fully embraced Anti-Bullying week by joining in the odd sock day to celebrate our differences.

This week in design technology class 13 have made simple cam toys.

The children loved experimenting with different shaped cams and seeing the effect on the follower. 

In science this week class 13 have been using newton metres to measures different objects weight and mass.

They have learned that weight is an objects gravitational pull and mass is how much matter they have in them.

They discovered that mass is 100 times the weight of an object.

This week class 13 have had their story time in the library with Mr Waters.

The story was about a man that walked between two towers, they discussed a how courageous he was.

The children loved joining in with props and acting out the story.

Today in English class 13 the children have been creating word mats for their scary story writing.

They have loved ‘stealing’ words and phrases from various scary stories we have read.

We talked about how everyone is different and that it is good to be different.

We also discussed that we should embrace differences. 

Our Bartsy activism art has been placed around school to spread a positive message. From Mrs Wainwright’s office to the Boys and Girls toilets, the dinner hall, our water coolers and recycle bins.

Even Mr Worsnop has one in his office warning of the dangers of AI.
