Year 5/6 were visited once again by On The Verge who delivered an informative session on Joint Enterprise and being Guilty by Association.
During the workshop, pupils learned about the legal concept of Joint Enterprise and the responsibilities that can arise from being involved in or present during criminal activity. They explored how individuals may be held accountable if they knowingly support, encourage, or are associated with an offence committed by others. The session also highlighted the age of criminal responsibility in England and Wales, which is 10 years old.
Pupils learned that children aged 10 and over can be held legally accountable for their actions and, in serious cases, may face prosecution and youth justice interventions. The workshop provided valuable insights into personal responsibility, making informed choices, and understanding the consequences of actions.
