Year 2 (Class 6) - Art - Learning to Weave

In art year 2 children learnt about weaving through the artwork of Lucy Poskitt, experimenting using barring techniques and learnt how to dye material to create a sea texture.

The children then learnt about repeating weaving patterns, before experimenting and practising the art of weaving. Class 6 then used what they had learnt to dye the material and used it to weave a sea scene, before adding detail by gluing seas animals.

It was a long process and took a lot of patience, but they are all extremely proud of what they created.
