Year 4 (Class 10) - History - Gladiator Schools

Class 10 have been advertising their own gladiator schools! We learned about what ianistas (the owners of gladiators) did to make sure they got all of the sponsorship money.

We then worked in groups to come up with a sales pitch, ready to present to the Emperor. We talked about how we would make sure our emperors were the strongest and who we could get to help us prove that we were the best!  

The Emperor was a very hard man to please, and we had to make sure we bowed and met all of his (very unreasonable) demands before we even had a chance to pitch!

Overall, the Emperor was very impressed with our sales pitches and knowledge, and at how determined we were to protect the Roman Empire.
