Image of Reception - Stories, Jigsaws and much more!

We began the week by having some whole class discussions about our late Queen Elizabeth, what she did for us and how we can remember her. The children did some fantastic paintings and drawing which are now on display in class 1. Even Mrs Wainwright complimented them as she walked through our classroom.

We have enjoyed continuing to explore our new classrooms and making new friends. Sharing stories, completing jigsaws and playing in the sand has been popular this week. Some of the children helped Miss Le Brocq to up-cycle a large cardboard box from our delivery, into a bus! They cut out windows and even added lights to the front. Well done guys, it looks amazing!

Finally we have loved playing with the musical instruments this week. We learnt their names and listened to the sounds that they make. We got out the glockenspiels and did a great job at following our 'ready, steady, go' instructions and stopping when told to. It was so much fun!
