Year 2

Class 6 has an amazing time celebrating rainbow day.

They learnt a lot about different religions, where their peers were from and how they celebrated. They had a parent visitor who taught us about Ramadan and the children were very interested in the cycle of the moon.

Class 5 really enjoyed their trip to Gym Magic and loved going onto the beam, bars and trampolines.

Class 6 have been writing riddles in English. 

They listened to and guessed a lot of riddles, tried to outsmart their partners and then wrote their own. Remembering that they needed very general clues at the beginning and more specific clues at the end.

Class 6 have created their under the sea animations. 

They created story boards and props, then used stop motion to create the animations in groups. 

Next week they will be adding sound. Keep your eyes peeled for the final product!

Some children in class 6 went for a gymnastics session at gym magic.

They were very excited and loved trying out the different events.

Another session at Gym magic in Pudsey with some children from Class 5 and 6.

The children enjoyed trying out different equipment.

In art class 6 have been learning how to weave. 

They made a loom out of cardboard, learnt to use paper to go over and under, making sure to alternate the layers.

Class 6 have been continuing with their animation topic building up their skills and knowledge using stop motion animation.
